EPISODE – MS. KIM GRAY

BIO

My First Coaching Client supports introverted coaches and VAs who want to create nurturing relationships and need a laid-back approach for meeting people and attracting business. I am an introvert and private person which becomes a blessing and a curse at times. I’ve realized a balance in my business by working with a variety of coach clients, understanding what matters to me, and learning the power of saying either ‘no’ or ‘not now’.

I teach what I know, what I’ve learned, and what adds value to my business with my clients, which results in long-term business. Coaches have taught me the value of giving from a pure heart with no expectation of return, and God has taught me how to apply tolerance in dealing with differing personalities. Thus, I have narrowed my niche enough to know when the right client crosses my threshold and how to embrace her for the journey.

Just a Few of Kim’s Tips, Tricks, and Secrets:

Chat with a VA Industry Leader, Ms. Kim Gray, who shares Tips, Tricks, Secrets, and Strategies for developing and maintaining a professional and profitable Virtual Assistant and coaching business.

Tip: Make sure that the industry you want to support understands what virtual assistance is, and maybe even uses virtual assistants on a regular basis.

Tip:  Be willing to do the research about the industry that you want to support. Talk to some of the people who are doing the work, so you can gather the facts around what’s being done, and you can see whether or not what you want to do is going to be a place for you to do what you want to do.

Trick: Develop relationships, stay in touch, stay connected.

Trick: Put aside time for your business. As VA’s, we’re always taking care of everybody else’s, but when it’s time to take care of ours, there’s no time left.

Secret: You need a plan for your business.  And, it can be as simple as a one-page business plan. I do one every year to spell out what my mission is for the year. What are the objectives that are measurable that I want to reach? What strategies and actions am I going to take to meet those objectives, and what technology am I going to invest in to make it happen?

Secret: Get a coach. You need an accountability partner to keep you moving forward.
